Dana White Trades Jabs with Oscar De La Hoya Over Pay Remarks, Calls Him a “crackhead”

by Aleksandar Urdarevik on September 29, 2021

It is no secret that for a while now UFC boss Dana White has been questioned and come under fire in regards to not paying his fighters enough.

Plenty of fighters have spoken out on the escalating pay issue, namely champion fighter Oscar De La Hoya.

De La Hoya, who was scheduled to fight Vitor Belfort but had to drop out due to contracting COVID-19 (which Dana White accused him of faking), made remarks on Twitter following featherweight fighter Alexander Volkanovski’s win against Brian Ortega at UFC 266.

De La Hoya had this to say on Twitter, “Hey Alex Volkanovski you just won a brutal battle for the UFC and made 1/20 of what you’re worth. Dana White have some f**king respect for yourself and your fighters and pay these warriors what they deserve.”

Dana White didn’t very much like that. He responded to De La Hoya on Twitter, saying, “STFU U crack head. Faking that u had Covid and robbing me of watching u get KTFO by Vitor Belfort you should win an academy award for your hospital performance.”

De La Hoya fired back on his Instagram, saying, “That’s all you got Dana White? You’re accusing me of FAKING a virus that killed almost 700,000 Americans to avoid a fight?? You pathetic piece of s**t you’ve never laced up gloves. And you completely ignored my original point I made about UNDERPAYING YOUR FIGHTERS.”

Dana White and Oscar De La Hoya have certainly not been fans of each other over the years, and this social media feud between the two certainly adds fuel to that fire.

What do you make of how Dana White responded to De La Hoya’s tweet? Do you agree or disagree with De La Hoya?
